Heavenly Father,
We are thankful to be able to pray to You and we come to You in the name of our precious Savior, Jesus Christ. We know that You are Almighty God. You are our Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer. We know that You are the Author and Perfecter of our faith. We know that because of what You have done for us through Jesus we can boldly approach Your throne of grace.
Yet despite all that you have done for us we have sinned against You. In things we have done and things we have not done, we have sinned. We have sinned in word, deed, and thought, and we have done so even though it makes no sense to do so. O Lord, please forgive us and grant us repentance so that we can again walk closely with You.
We thank You for all that You have done for us. You have blessed us with a Savior and through Him we have eternal life with You. How amazing is this blessing! And on top of that You have poured out so many good things on us. For everything, we thank You.
We also have things we are enduring and we need Your daily bread. We need Your grace for today. We need the peace that passes all understanding. We need help in the moment and help for the crisis at hand. We need help for our friends and family that are struggling with grief. We need help for restoration of health. We need help with job and employment issues. We need Your financial help. We need so many around us to come to Christ.
We know that You are able. You are God. Do as You see fit in all of these situations. And for whatever does happen and whenever it happens, we will give You the glory!
